FOR THE PERFECT EYES!!!

Applying Your Eye Shadow
1.Prime Your Eyelids: As with most makeup the best place to start is with a good foundation. Apply a foundation that matches your skin tone to your eye lid and the surrounding area. This will serve as a base that will help you apply eyeshadow evenly as well as keep your eyeshadow in place longer.
2.Apply Lightest Shade: The lightest eyeshadow shade acts as a highlighter and is applied first. Use one of your medium brushes to lightly apply the eyeshadow to the area below the natural curve of your eyebrow. This will help give your eyes a bright and radiant appearance.
3.Medium Shade: Using a brush that will fit within the confines or your eye lid. brush the medium color across your lid. For the best possible application it's important to keep this color within the realm of your eye lid. Be sure to apply it fully to the lid without going beyond the natural boundaries of your eye.
4.Apply Darkest Shade: The darkest shade of eyeshadow is used to create a dramatic and sultry look. While you can often skip this one for day time makeup application, it really completes the look. Using a thinner brush apply the dark shade to your eye's natural creases which fall between the curve of your eyebrow and your actual eye lid.
5.Soften Your Look: Applying the eyeshadow in the manner above will result in a few hard edges that make it apparent that you are wearing three different shades of eye color. Your ultimate goal is to have a unified look to your makeup with soft color transitions. Use a cotton swab to blend in the lines between colors. Instead of a obvious contrast you should see a gradual change in color.
6.Eye Liner: Your look won't be complete until you give it the final touches, one of which is eyeliner. Depending on your choice of eye liner (wet or dry) apply it to the rim of your eyes. Be sure to apply evenly since uneven or spotty application can ruin your whole look. As with the eyeshadow, you will want to use a cotton swab to blend your eyeliner in creating a softer look.
7.Mascara: Your final touch to your look is the mascara. Apply your mascara with a sweeping motion to both the top and bottom lashes. Remove any clumps while mascara is still damp.

READY FOR SUM MAGIC GALS!!!!

JUS FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS............

scissors
white paper coffee filter
black marker (not permanent)
water
coffee cup or mug

Cut a circle out of the coffee filter. (It doesn't have to be a perfect circle, just a round shape that's about as big as your spread-out hand.

With the black marker, draw a line across the circle, about 1 inch up from the bottom.

Put some water in the cup-enough to cover the bottom. Curl the paper circle so it fits inside the cup. Make sure the bottom of the circle is in the water.
Watch as the water flows up the paper. When it touches the black line, you'll start to see some different colors.

Leave the paper in the water until the colors go all the way to the top edge. How many colors can you see?

If you have another black marker, draw a line on a clean, dry coffee filter circle. Put the circle in some fresh water. Does this marker make different colors than the first one?
Center Stage

Use a clean, dry coffee filter circle. Use your marker to draw a black spot in the center. Put the circle on a saucer, and put a few drops of water on the spot. In a few minutes you'll see rings of color that go out from the center of the circle to the edges. Our picture is in black and white, but when you do this, you'll see some amazing colors.

How does Black Magic work? Why do some black inks separate into many colors on a wet coffee filter?

Most nonpermanent markers use inks that are made of colored pigments and water. On a coffee filter, the water in the ink carries the pigment onto the paper. When the ink dries, the pigment remains on the paper.

When you dip the paper in water, the dried pigments dissolve. As the water travels up the paper, it carries the pigments along with it. Different-colored pigments are carried along at different rates; some travel farther and faster than others. How fast each pigment travels depends on the size of the pigment molecule and on how strongly the pigment is attracted to the paper. Since the water carries the different pigments at different rates, the black ink separates to reveal the colors that were mixed to make it.

In this experiment, you're using a technique called chromatography. The name comes from the Greek words chroma and graph for "color writing." The technique was developed in 1910 by Russian botanist Mikhail Tsvet. He used it for separating the pigments that made up plant dyes.

There are many different types of chromatography. In all of them, a gas or liquid (like the water in
your experiment) flows through a stationary substance (like your coffee filter). Since different ingredients in a mixture are carried along at different rates, they end up in different places. By examining where all the ingredients ended up, scientists can figure out what was combined to make the mixture.

Chromatography is one of the most valuable techniques biochemists have for separating mixtures. It can be used to determine the ingredients that make up a particular flavor or scent, to analyze the components of pollutants, to find traces of drugs in urine, and to separate blood proteins in various species of animals (a technique that's used to determine evolutionary relationships).

Why does mixing many colors of ink make black?

Ink and paint get their colors by absorbing some of the colors in white light and reflecting others. Green ink looks green because it reflects the green part of white light and absorbs all the other colors. Red ink looks red because it reflects red light and absorbs all the other colors. When you mix green, red, blue, and yellow ink, each ink that you add absorbs more light. That leaves less light to reflect to your eye. Since the mixture absorbs light of many colors and reflects very little, you end up with black.

Had it not been for her cousin who gave her some heart lifting advice on how to fix her hair, her hair would have remained a disaster.

Fashion and beauty trends keep changing all the time. When streaks become a fad we see many heads streaked in different hues. If your favourite sports, movie or TV star sports a certain hair style you too may follow suit. But many a times the hair colour or cut may not suit you or worse, the chemicals used in styling may end up having adverse effects on your hair. After a bad hair job all you can think of is, what do I do to fix my hair to like it was before? If you do not have helpful cousins, read on to turn bad hair days into I love my hair days.

When straightening goes messy

You loved the results of your straightened and wanted to kiss the mirror. But after the first wash you met with a rude awakening. Your straight hair had turned dry, wavy and frizzy. You would not dream of stepping out of the house with such hair. Wearing a cap for months is not the solution. Here are some quick solutions for undesired straight hair.

Quick Fix

Get a hair cut that decreases the volumised look
Get hot oil massage done every week
Get hair protein treatment every month
Get a hair cut done every two- three months
Apply some leave-in conditioner every time you wash your hair
Use shampoo for dry damaged hair
Oil your hair every alternate day. Oiling hair before turning in for the night is helpful
Apply Aloe Vera gel before washing your hair
Tie a pony tail if you feel your hair is unruly.
Wear a bandana to cover your mane and look stylish
Do not get any chemical treatments done for the next six months.
You will have to wait for some months for new hair to grow. Remember the process cannot be reversed in an instant but is temporary. You need to be patient with yourself and treat your hair with some tender loving care.
