WHAT IS THE COST OF LIPOSUCTION
Liposuction Costs
The most important factor to consider before opting for liposuction is that one needs to be aware of how much liposuction is going to cost. Lipoplasty costs vary depending on factors such as the number of areas which are to be treated, the body site which is to be treated, the amount of fat which needs to be removed, expected time and effort the surgeon would need to invest in the surgery, etc.
In some places, liposuction costs may also include facility fees, cost for compression garments which are worn after the surgery, blood test fees, etc. It is always advisable to ask your surgeon about other costs or charges which you may be required to pay, for example fees for anesthesia, operating room charges, etc.
Generally, the cost of liposuction treatment of the upper and lower abdomen varies between $3000 to $7500; costs for the lower abdomen can range between $2000 to $2500; liposuction surgery of the arms may cost between $1500 to $2500; female back: $1500 to $4000; female breasts: $3000 to $5000; and so on. The approximate price list should give you a fair idea of just how expensive liposuction surgeries can be. Therefore, it is highly important that you choose your doctor and the clinic facilities with utmost care.
After the surgery is completed, patients generally start to see results within four to six weeks, after the majority of swelling subsides. However, it will only be after about three months that the final shape of the treated area will become apparent as any persisting mild swelling also disappears. However, only by exercising regularly and by having a healthy diet can one expect to maintain the new shape of the body.
